Today, President Trump held a press conference at the White House where he announced his administration issued new regulations that could lower the price of prescription drugs for many Americans. Early on when Trump came into office, he said that Big Pharma is: “getting away with murder”. This latest move by the Trump administration would accomplish two thing: 1) Tie what Medicare pays for medications administered in a doctor’s office to the lowest price paid among a group of other economically advanced countries. 2) Require drug-makers, for brand name pharmacy medications, to give Medicare enrollees rebates.
