Recently, dozens of Boston Police officers were ordered to accept overtime shifts of anywhere from 8 to 16 hours, resulting in actual shifts of anywhere from 16 to 24 hours. Larry Calderone, President of the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association, joined Dan to call for the immediate hiring of hundreds of new Boston Police officers to properly staff the overworked department.
