Lance is the founder and CEO of The Teammate Factory. He is a leading authority on the good teammate mindset, who specializes in getting individuals to shift into the We Gear and change their focus from me to we! A college basketball coach turned author, sportsmanship advocate, and professional speaker, he is known for his enthusiastic personality and his passion for transforming teambusters into teammates. He is a rare two-time recipient of the prestigious Schoenfeld Award for Sportsmanship, Character, and Ethics, as presented by the Collegiate Basketball Officials Association. For more than 20 years, he operated youth sports camps. Hundreds of kids attended his wildly popular “Be A Good Teammate” basketball camp every summer, where they were taught daily that good teammates care, share, and listen.

As a former intercollegiate student-athlete, Lance was an academic All-American. He holds an undergraduate degree in theatre and a master’s degree in sports management.Lance believes everybody is part of a team in some capacity, and every affliction facing our society comes down to people not being good teammates. He has inspired readers and audiences around the globe with this impactful message through his books, keynotes, and seminars.

Dr. Bauman, is a renowned Sport and Human Performance Psychologist (Gravity Performance) who provides high quality services to athletes, coaches, sport organizations, and business organizations on a private consulting basis. Jim has provided sport psychology services at the 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008 Olympic Games. Earlier in his career, as a Full-time Senior Sport Psychologist for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) US Olympic Training Center, he created, implemented, and managed the first sport psychology program at this Olympic Training Center. Dr. Bauman provided high performance services at multiple National Championships, Olympic Trials, World Cups, World Championships, World University Games, Pan-Pacific, and Pan-American Games; began a working relationship with the Navy Special Warfare School (BUDS/SEAL Teams) and the NHL Anaheim Ducks (Stanley Cup Champions). He later Developed and initiated the first full-range sport psychology program for 23 collegiate sports at the UVA, and traveled with and provided sport psychology services to the USA Olympic Swimming Team at the 2012 London Olympic Games, 2013 Barcelona World Championships, 2014 Pan American Championships in Australia, and the 2015 World Championships in Russia; he continued as a consultant to US Special Operations Command. Currently working with an east coast NBA team engages in sport publications (refereed journal articles and book chapters); television and radio appearances; presenting sport psychology workshops at national/international conferences; teaching graduate coursework; mentoring young sport psychology professionals.

As the Director of Leadership Development and Strategic Partnerships in Rutgers Athletics- Office of Leadership Development and Strategic Partnerships, he helps student-athletes become champions in the classroom, on their playing fields, and in their lives after athletics. His main responsibility is to help student-athletes achieve their goals, graduate with a college degree, and secure post-graduate opportunities/employment. Working on projects involving community service, career development, international partnerships, campus/employer partnerships, and the development of a 3 course, for credit, leadership curriculum for Rutgers Athletics. In this position he has developed a strong affinity for the servant leadership mentality and believes that through the service of helping others achieve their dreams I will have the greatest impact on this world.
