It's not secret I'm not a fan of the BMW i3 and haven't been of a BMW brand in general for a decade now. I simply think BMW got comfortable with what they got and never create any new technology to move us forward. This year though, they seem to be open to electrifying their fleet and coming up with some good electric cars, so I figured I'd give the i3 another shot and have an honest conversation one of the "BMW geniuses"

Both of your complaints are subjective and also based on need. The i3 is a very unique car and has technology even Tesla doesn't have TODAY. The car is an incredibly advanced piece of tech design wise both in and out and looks amazing in the right configuration. The i3s is a very cool looking car and then only premium compact EV in the market. It's a huge blunder for BMW to cancel this car. Sad and complete lack of vision both from BMW and the lemming public.
