Even then, we might shy away from noticing how status concerns inform our own actions in our careers, friendships, and families – perhaps having seen one too many so-called “power moves” in which one person attacks another’s status. But what if a skilled, even playful, approach to status awareness could open up a new world of “superpower moves” – and the best way to cultivate your own status was finding ways to raise other people’s?

On “The Status Paradox,” host Jessica Burlingame will interview entrepreneurs, inventors, artists, and innovators who got to the top of their game by doing just that.
