Chiefly among those is A Quiet Place 2, which while being completely unnecessary yet almost entirely inevitable stays true to the original's formula and expands it's universe. It's awards time again and despite cinemas being closed, we've managed to catch some of the nominees and winners of this years most prestiguous ceremonies, including Riz Ahmed's star turn in Sound of Metal and the outrageously dark Promising Young Woman. Also worthy of mention outside the torrent of awards contenders finding their way onto the various streaming platform is Andy Samberg starring Palm Springs, which puts a unique spin on the suitably popular time loop genre, which couldn't be more appropriate for the times we've found ourselves in lately. And finally, spoilers at the ready for the ten ton 4 hour elephant in the room that is Zack Snyder's Justice League, which couldn't be a more appropriate monument to the last couple of years.
