1 MAY 2020 · Meet Fatima Al Qubaisi – the first Emirati female lawyer from Harvard Law School. We discuss her move as a young girl from rural Austria to Urban Dubai. Learning English and Arabic at the age of 10 with intensive training to catch up to her peers in UAE. We explore the most German things about her and her most Emirati characteristics. We discuss how her love for negotiation and gender inequality made her pursue law. The two things that were different about her that allowed her to eventually go to Harvard Law School and start practicing law. What prevents other girls her age from envisioning higher goals and aiming to study at Ivy League schools. How she decided to learn another language so she could complete her Undergrad in French in Paris Sarbonne University. How her membership in many clubs throughout high school and university, her love of languages, and how she founded her own summer camp set her apart to get accepted into Harvard Law School.
