10 MAY 2024 · Brian interviews Dr. Martin Jugenburg. Dr. Jugenburg is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with offices in Toronto, Dubai, Kuwait and Miami. Dr. Jugenburg has been in practice for almost 20 years and has established himself as a leader in the field of cosmetic surgery. He offers a full range of plastic surgery procedures. The majority of Dr. Jugenburg's practice is primarily made up of female patients who want to feel more comfortable with their bodies after changes caused by pregnancies, weight loss and/or the natural aging process. We discuss the housing affordability crisis in the Greater Toronto Area and the lengthy approval timelines that contribute to it. We also explore the role of zoning in shaping urban neighborhoods and the need for a more streamlined and user-friendly planning system. Lastly, we criticize the reliance of politicians on external bodies to make decisions and call for politicians to be held accountable for their decisions.

Axel and Pieter, who have both been residents of Mississauga for over 45 years, are working with the Mississauga Residents’ Association Network (MIRANET) and their own Ratepayer Group and have really torn into understand the City budget. Their numbers are right, the city numbers take the Mississauga tax increase and divide it by the taxes for both Mississauga and the Region of Peel and thereby under represent the tax increase by almost three fold. Tax increases of 6 % + will double your taxes in ten years. This is in unsustainable and unaffordable.

A student of politics and public policy, he is currently working on research projects focusing on issues ranging from universal social policy and health care reform to the role of ideas in policy development and the relationship between fiscal policy and welfare state development.
