14 JUL 2024 · We first look at the UK elections, from Ed Davies spirited campaign to the racialized surge of the Reform Party. In France we break down Macron's gambit in calling the election and how it went wrong. We wrap up the show by analyzing why it is difficult to replace Biden, and what Trump's shooting means for the state of of our politics.
19 MAY 2024 · We kick things off with Archibishop Desmond Tutu's 1986 address at Stanford University on standing up to injustice. As polls tighten, we then discuss why people need to pay close attention to the party platform of the BC Conservatives, and Arman gives some UI feedback to Akhil on the BC NDP's website. We also look at the legality of the recent encampments at Canadian universities by pro-Palestinian protestors. To wrap up the show, we check in with Vivek Ramaswamy, who is apparently "too Indian" to be president of the United States, while his South Indian comrades face discrimination at home.
21 APR 2024 · In this episode Arman and Akhil break down various media reports that seemed to serve a particular agenda. Akhil relates his experiences visitting a Boeing factory in light of the latest safety concerns. We then look at why reports of WW3 during the recent Iran-Israel conflict may have been overblown. We also break down why the recent changes to capital gains taxes in Canada's budget will likely not impact you despite various media reports to the contrary. We wrap up the show by checking in on how the Swifties are shaping the the black market economy, and accusations that imprisoned Indian Opposition leader and Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, is eating too many mangoes in prison prior to the election.

We look at how Akhil fell into the role of treasurer of the BCNDP in the electoral district of Vancouver-Fairview/Vancouver-Little Mountain and the upcoming face-off of "Arman and Akhil Show" guests Christine Boyle and Andrea Reimer there. Meanwhile in the United Kingdom, George Galloway invokes biblical allegory as he triumphs in Rochdale. We then discuss the crisis of electoral funding in India as a non-AOC barista is looking primed for success in Varanasi, India. In South Africa, the African National Congress faces a new threat - Jacob Zuma's chihuahua army. Finally, in California, Democratic candidate Adam Schiff brings "Moneyball" tactics to the jungle primary.

In the US, conservatives openly plot to overthrow democracy while Dark Brandon returns briefly to takeout a Fox reporter. We then breakdown how the role of state capture in the South Africa's elections and that of language in India's. Finally we discuss latest developments in Gaza and China's new found support for self-determination of oppressed peoples.

Andrea takes us through her incredible journey from her time on the streets, to organizer, to green politician and then Vision Vancouver city councillor and now educator. She reflects on the Greenest City 2020 initiative and what Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim is getting wrong about crime. She makes this case that working people need realize their power in order to bring about social change.

In national news, we discuss the warning signs as Canada ended up honouring a Nazi in parliament. South of the border, Republican Presidential hopeful, Vivek Ramaswamy, flexes his Tamil while Congressman Matt Gaetz II leads the Republicans into civil war. We also check-in with ex-FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried's trial as he gets some advice from "Pharma Bro" and convicted fraudster Martin Shkreli, on life in prison.
