Story Time With The Homo

  • Explicit

Thanks for listening, I really needed you.

7 MAR 2018 · TRIGGER WARNING: assault awareness This is my last episode. Thanks for listening, whoever you are. I really needed a place like this to just leave it out there. But now it's time for me to speak up rather than bottling it up. It's been real, I'm the Homo and thanks for listening.

  • Expectations

3 MAR 2018 · It's been a good while since my last episode. I recorded this in February, but I'm barely finding time to upload it now because of midterms! In a nutshell, I talk about getting my hopes up and what it's like to be a soft person. I also get into one-sided relationships. *update since this episode is that I bought my ticket to see Hayley Kiyoko in May!!!

  • Queer Latinas and Being a "Pocha Concha"

3 FEB 2018 · In this episode I talk about finding queer latina representation in the media (yaaaaaas) and how it reflects with myself. I also talk about not being "mexican enough" and I realize I didn't really explain what a "pocha concha" means. Here's a video from PeroLike to help explain! Also, try and guess how many times I said the word "granted" https://youtu.be/s2GiZhWoD-k

  • Just Friends

12 JAN 2018 · Before giving the description, I'd like to note a few things. I tend to joke and pick at myself when I deal with my feelings. If I ever stereotype, it is not toward a specific sexuality, and I would never try to offend anyone. I have a horrible habit of being mean to myself, so I apologize. Second, in this episode I talk about my family asking if I'm transitioning. I would never try to offend anyone from our community. I am speaking my truth that I am not 100% accepted as a lesbian, but, instead my family would rather me be who I am not. Forgive me if I ever sound ignorant. This episode, I talk about being friends with someone I like. I also talk about adulting, life falling into place, and being afraid of "happiness." I also give an update about being back on campus. The episode is a bit longer because I combined two recordings from two different days!

  • New Year, Same Gay

3 JAN 2018 · Happy New Year! In this episode, I talk a bit about my resolutions and get a little more personal about my decision to separate myself from the church. I focus on talking about doing what is right for me despite what that may look like to others.

  • It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christ-my god Jessica Is Having Another Breakdown

20 DEC 2017 · First update since being home for the holidays. Yes, I'm alive and yes I'm fine. It's still the most wonderful time of the year. I just needed a moment to myself to get all of this out since I don't really have privacy in mi casa. Sorry, I think I start yelling at some point. I just have a lot of feelings.

  • I'm Afraid of My Own Feelings

5 DEC 2017 · It's the most horrible time of the year aka FINALS HAVE TAKEN OVER. I want to cry and this is just another episode me rambling about my gay feelings. Also considering to put my feelings up on craigslist: For Sale- gay feelings, $5 and negotiable because they aren't worth that much. Don't grow up, everything is a scam okay bye!

  • Girls Girls Girls

16 NOV 2017 · Today, we talk about my fave topic ever: GIRLS! I talk to you about dating, growing up gay, and assuming typical male gender roles.

  • I've Got Issues

31 OCT 2017 · I needed to take some time to regroup and went home for the weekend. Out of it comes this episode where I talk about a number of things from cultural appropriation, growing up conservative, being first generation, and it all comes together for my main theme: I have daddy issues! More so, I just have parent issues but it's all good. I'm all over the place as usual and if you're listening, bless you because I feel like I'm hard to keep up with. Okay BYE! "hick-spanic": a white washed Hispanic aka what I call will refer to my family at times.
