  • SHEleader Digital Art: The New Meeting Point

    11 MAY 2020 · Listen to our third special SHEleader webinar. We meet you Rosi Grillmair, one of the innovative brave young digital media artists. The event is a bridge to the second international SHEleader@digital 2020 conference, postponed for September 17th with respect to the measures for limiting the COVID-19 outbreak. The New Meeting Point Digital technologies transform nearly all aspects of our life, including art and culture. Moreover, a new wave of artists has emerged and taken international attention by creating an innovative type of culture - the so-called digital art or new media art. From creative coding and processing to real-time data visualization and algorithmic art that new meeting point allows us to see the world and our life via a different perspective: to think, to interface, to communicate with new tools. To be more human by being more digital. Maybe, it sounded very strange yesterday, but the COVID-19 world has created a new situation where digital art is more important than ever. Because we need to understand and use the tech in a creative way and with a new perspective. Rosi Grillmair To be innovative is an essential part of Rosi Grillmair: an artist, creative coder, and educator working with real-time processing, digital fabrication, 3D software and data visualization by the use of community-driven tools like Processing, Arduino and vvvv/VL. Born in 1991 Austria, Rosi has graduated Interactive Media as well as Computer Science in Linz and Multimedia Arts in Milan. A recurring theme in her works is the reflection of human behavior through programmable machines. Conceptual media art, performance, the investigation of patterns and experiments with real and virtual media come together in her work by the freedom and restriction of algorithms. Her works were exhibited at Ars Electronica Museum and Festival/AT, TADAEX Tehran/IR, Medialab Prado/ES, Gwangju Media Arts Festival/KR, amberPlatform/TR and MKH Wels/AT. She was invited as a lecturer to Art and Design College Pforzheim/DE, NODE Forum for Digital Art/DE, D.A.H. Project Shiraz/IR, Kepler Salon Linz/AT, Creative Coding Barcelona/ES, Digitale Welten/DE and Schmiede Hallein/AT.   • SHEleader Beyond Tech: the Creation of Sustainable Future

    13 APR 2020 · SHEleader Beyond Tech is the second exclusive webinar that creates a bridge to the international SHEleader@digital conference postponed for September with respect to the measures taken to limit the Coronavirus effects. It a special female leadership dialogue between Sasha Bezuhanova, founder of EDIT and BCWT, and Borina Andrieu from the global architecture company Wilmotte & Associés. SHEleader Beyond Tech is more than a conversation. It is an online forum about female leadership, innovation in architecture, and the role of women in the age of automation. SHEleader Beyond Tech meets technology, architecture, and sustainable development and shows how architecture becomes green and inspires startup development. Who is Borina Andrieu? Borina was born and grew up in Bulgaria. She has lived and worked in many places all over the world. Since 2004, she has been part of Paris-based global architecture company Wilmotte & Associés where she currently serves as a managing director. Borina has been involved in several inspirational architectural transformations of iconic buildings around the world, including turning Halle Freyssinet into Station F - the world’s largest startup incubator. She has also taken part in the renovation of Google’s London headquarters at King Cross. Two years ago, Borina was awarded the highest French order of merit when Emanuel Macron gave her the Knight of the French Legion of Honour. She is also a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, an order of the French Ministry of Culture. SHEleader@digital 2020 SHEleader@digital is an annual international conference taking place in Sofia that provides a platform for a focused discussion on the women’s role in the digitally connected we live in. It aims to outline solutions for attracting more women and girls to take on professional and leadership roles in the ICT and digitally empowered economy. The Conference also examines how women's authenticity and the application of female values contribute to the development of sustainable and balanced organizations with high potential and prosperous societies. SHEleader@digital brings together key female leaders from the business sector, non-profits, and public institutions from across Europe to engage in a dialogue on how we can effectively address those challenges and more importantly, set the tone to act upon solving them. SHEleader@digital 2020 is organized by BCWT, MOVE.BG and Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
