Brett shares his adventures in completing the story of Earth Defense Force 5, thoughts on his ongoing play through of Hand of Gilgamech and his penchant for destroying gaming mice. Walker gives some final thoughts on the Eisenhorn book trilogy which is set in the Warhammer 40K universe, his Sea of Thieves inspired addiction to sailing and shooting, and his delight with Ori and the Blind Forest. While both titles are within the same loosely defined rpg-card battling genre, they both feature unique and interesting experiences. Both offer an innovative single player foray in a game type that is typically dominated by player vs. player games such as Blizzard’s “Hearthstone” or Riot’s “Legends of Runeterra.” Both “SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech” and “Slay the Spire” are terrific games that are worth exploring.
