21 SEP 2018 · For several years, I have been receiving Letters from the Earth. Now, she urges me to share them with you. I believe that they come from deep in the heart of God, the nurturing energy in all of creation. I received this letter last week as I began to get stressed as our annual CultureFest approached, an event I help coordinate in my work at the City of Springfield.

7 SEP 2018 · For several years, I have been receiving Letters from the Earth. Now, she urges me to share them with you. I believe they come from deep in the heart of God, the nurturing energy in all of creation. On Labor Day a couple years ago, we invited friends over for a Garden Party. We dined in the backyard, surrounded by our gardens and flowering potted plants enjoying teas and a variety of salads on fine china. We came dressed for fun, red hats, bow ties, colorful robes, dresses and everyday garb for some. After lunch, my friend Naureen, who learned the art of flower arranging as a young girl in her native Pakistan, taught us how to compose our flowers into bouquets. The next day the Earth wrote me this letter about our experience.

I believe they come from deep in the heart of God, the nurturing energy in all of creation. I received this letter earlier this week. I teach and practice listening as a mediator, and yet I’m also an extrovert. This letter really hit home. It transformed my day. Perhaps it will speak to you as well.

I believe they come from deep in the heart of God, the nurturing energy in all of creation. At this time of year my coworkers and I are very busy preparing for CultureFest, a wonderful annual community festival celebrating diversity, to be held September 22 this year on our City Hall Plaza. It’s a lot of work and can be stressful. So helpful for me reread this letter I received from the earth about CultureFest a few years ago.

I believe they come from deep in the heart of God, the nurturing energy in all of creation. This has been a wonderful experience for me. And now as I prepare to launch a book with the first 24 letters I received, to be published next month by Higher Ground Books I was remembered this early letter I received, when the Earth encouraged me to continue to listen. I’m so glad I did!
