10 JUL 2018 · This is the TV podcast where people in the TV industry pick their favourite TV hosted by Luke from www.thecustardtv.com In the first of what I hope will be a long-running series I'm joined by co-creator of BBC1's massive comedy Car Share Paul Coleman. Paul was looking to create a sitcom in a cheap location to appeal to broadcasters. He'd seen Roger & Val had just got in on BBC Two had thought that the idea of two people in one set was a brilliant, cheap and efficient way of making a sitcom. He got together with co-writer Tim Reid and the pair happened upon the idea of two people in a car travelling two and from work. Paul took his rough script to childhood friend Peter Kay for him to look over before they sent it off to the BBC. Kay was so impressed he wanted to join the project and the rest is history! In this podcast he chats about getting Car Share off the ground and picks his favourite shows of all time!
