15 MAY 2018 · Welcome to Dance inc. This episode is all about flushing out exclusion and freshening up clubs with acceptance- yes, it’s a toilet episode! No one should be harassed for needing the loo yet so often a club’s bogs can become a breeding ground for negative attitudes towards clubbers using the toilets and the people working at them too. We hear from Paris Lees, Atitha Sen Gupta, Christine Burns, Suzanne Bull and Paula Duran on stories concerning topics that include everyday sexism, exploited labour, transphobia, racism and disabled access.
Featuring:

17 APR 2018 · Welcome to Dance inc. This week we’re celebrating the black women who have shaped club culture through the ages! From techno to tropical house there’s a black woman shaping nearly every genre of music, yet rarely are they acknowledged for their achievements. That’s about to change…..
Presenter Goldierocks welcomes three super influential women in the industry to the Dance Inc. studios - Jaguar Bingham,a DJ and broadcaster working across Reprezent and BBC Introducing, Yewande Adeniran, a journalist and regular contributer for Gal-Dem.com who runs her own nights and DJ workshops called Intervention - for women, non-binary and LGBT+ and people of colour and Amanda Maxwell who not only runs the global offices of Boiler Room but is also a board member to the women in music collective She Said So. They’ve picked some tracks with black women behind them and will be chatting about what both the tracks and the industry means to them.

10 APR 2018 · Welcome to Dance inc. - This podcast aims to tackle dance music’s diversity issues head on…..We want to see diversity in festival line-ups, less sexual violence in nightclubs and better wheelchair access to gigs (and that’s just the start)
But before we push for a brighter future for all of club culture it’s important to understand where dance music originated- its real roots. Shuffle into Dance Inc.’s glowy neon time machine with presenter Goldierocks as music journalist Bill Brewster takes us back to the birth of disco. We then meet legendary promoter DJ Ritu for a rave around London’s club scene in the 80s and 90s (feather boas and neon clobber optional)….. It’s a brief history of 4/4 time!
Featuring:
DJ Goldierocks @Goldierocks

DJ Ritu @djritu1
