How do European politicians and European politics come across to an audience of citizens from 27 different countries, speaking 24 different official languages, and more than 200 regional languages? Is communication just a matter of language, or do we need to find a least common denominator, a unifying sentiment, shared symbols and cultural practices, to appreciate differences and to learn how to cohabit with diverse histories and traditions? Connecting Dots speaks with artists, writers, educators, politicians, sports representatives, media persons, business people from different European countries. The conversations, led by Povl Henningsen, focus on the central theme of Europe, European politics and the art of communication, looking for shared and differing views, and trying to weave a common thread. In other words, connecting dots.
