CiTR -- Ninth Wave
20 JAN 2022 · After the longest hiatus I've taken yet! (not proud), I rear my ugly head to bring you some new music! It's been a long winter and hopefully better weather is beginning to take hold. On this episode of of Ninth Wave Radio, I say a few words about the legendary Soul/Jazz artist James Mtume who passed away on Jan.9. His legacy is great and he will live on for all of eternity with his unique brand of Funk. Later in the show I give my take on COVID (GO GET VAXXED) and blather on about nothing. Thanks for listening!
Music from the likes of Bas, MoRuf, Clear Mortifee, Moniquea, Sango, Maylee Todd, Notorious B.I.G., Navy Blue, Cordae, Nappy Nina, BBNG and MORE!
See you next week

after being on hiatus from this show for a good 6 months, I'm back to present the second to last show of the year. I've only done eight shows in 2020 so I have a lot of catching up to do. A classic Ninth Wave show here with a good mix of jazz, hip hop, & up tempo rhythms for the dancers in the back!
Short and sweet this week and I stretch the host muscles... Join me!
Tracks from Nubya Garcia, Kali Uchis, Altru, Kamaal Williams, Allysha Joy, Clear Mortifee, Khruangbin, BBNG, Channel Tres & More!
25 JUN 2020 · Back again with a brand new quarantine mix!
I start the broadcast with a rendition of 'Night and Day' by Oscar Peterson from his 1959 album "Complete Cole Porter Songbook". After that I get into the likes of Shabazz Palaces, Holy Sock Gang, Dot, Wiki, Jawn Rice, Rene & Angela, Noname, Panax and more.
Before the break I take a moment to update listeners on the situation with the COV eviction of tent city residents in Crab Park this month. Please take a moment to listen and inform yourselves!
I love you and I'll see you next week
4 JUN 2020 · Tonight's show is dedicated to the life of George Floyd. I had reservations about producing a show during this time but I believe grassroots journalism and BIPOC representation during times like this is extremely important.
That being said I chose only Black artists from Turtle Island for this mix and may continue to do so in the coming weeks. In this show is an ode to The Last Poets out of New York as well as music from Tall Black Guy, Black Thought, Terrace Martin, Nina Simone, Ab-Soul, Shad, Gil Scott-Heron, The Celestics, D Smoke & more.
By no means is this a comprehensive mix of Black music because that would be impossible and the show would go into eternity!
I finished with some words from myself about the current state of affairs in the world, I list a BUNCH of ways to acknowledge, learn and support during this time and I give you some news on the upcoming action taking place this week.
Please take a listen with an open mind.
Again, I felt called to produce a show this week to uplift Black voices and artists and I hope I did a justice.
