Welcome to almostchill. The podcast by Asian women for the masses, but mostly for Asian women. Hosted by your girls, Gigi and Kieryn. We're here to tell it how it is -- no holds barred -- and shatter Asian stereotypes (we're not all quiet and submissive, so watch the f*ck out). If you want to know what Asian American women have wanted to scream at you for years now, listen to this podcast. If you're easily offended, tread lightly. You have been warned. We're almostchill here.

Episode 5: You Are Valid
Asians. We see you. We recognize you. All of you. You are valid. East Asians are not the only Asians that should be represented, despite what white media wants to tell you. Asians come in all forms and we are here to amplify you, your existence and your experiences. Whether you’re Southeast Asian, South Asian, Central Asian, mixed Asian, adopted Asian, Polynesian, Pacific Islander or anything in between, we want you to feel seen. You are magic and we want to give you voice and platform to share your magic with everyone else. Featuring finale guest Soleil Groh. 19 MAY 2019 · MINI-SEASON 2: SHIT PEOPLE DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT
Episode 4: 170 Years of Asian-Americans
If we don’t pay attention to history, we are certainly doomed to repeat it. This episode is heavy and uncomfortable. You’ll be faced with shit you didn’t think you’d talk about or learn about. Time to change that. Confront the truth in this episode. We are getting into the impact of institutional racism, societal racism and much more. There’s so much that we learned putting this episode together and we hope you take the time to learn, too. Enough is enough and we can’t keep doing this again to minorities and underserved groups. Let’s stop the cycle by breaking it ourselves.

5 MAY 2019 · MINI-SEASON 2: SHIT PEOPLE DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUTEpisode 2: Vices - Partying, Drugs & MoneyContinuing down the road of vices. Let’s talk about partying, drugs, money, and gluttony. It’s pervasive in Asian communities, but we never really take time to examine the significance behind these hidden yet widely recognized cultural aspects. We are not here to demonize drug use. We use drugs. But we want you to know there are resources out there for safe consumption. We want you to have someone you can turn to for support. The less alone you are, the safer the experience is whether you’re at a rave, at a party, out at the club or just at home. The more you know beforehand, the happier you’ll be the next day.
