26 MAR 2022 · In this sermon, we dive back into Matthew chapter 10 and talk about who we confess. We learn there is no middle ground, you either confess Christ or you deny. We learn that the true confession is the confession that we are not righteous and we cannot obtain salvation apart from His grace! As the cost for confessing Christ gets higher, the genuine continue to stand because He is the one holding us! "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows. Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven." Matthew 10:28-33

29 JAN 2022 · In this sermon, we learn what it means to be a true disciple of Christ! We are all slaves, but who is our master? We are all sons, but who is our father? There are only two options, a slave to Christ or a slave to the devil. It is our ambition to be like our Master and it is enough to be like him, even in persecution!

21 JAN 2022 · In this sermon, we dive back into our study in Matthew 10. 24 “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. 25 It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign the members of his household! 26 “Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known." We learn that we are not above our master who is Christ. If we are slaves of Christ, we no longer live for ourselves, but for Him, and in the same way that they treated Christ, they will treat His followers. The question is, are we truly Christ followers? A disciple is a learner, but we do not merely learn to know what is pleasing to Him, but also to practice what we've learned. Evidence of a genuine believer is that they will practice what they learn, by the grace of the Holy Spirit indwelling them. The Christian is known for their submission, first and foremost to God, and likewise in the institutions that He has called us to in this life. Government, employment, marriage, etc.

17 JAN 2022 · In this sermon, we dive back into Matthew 7:15. “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.". We learn how deceptive the false prophet and teacher can be and how they use miraculous signs to deceive the masses. We learn not to be an experience or sign seeker, but to verify the words are from God. Looking to the future, we learn that this will happen in the end, and it could be far more deceptive than we think.

21 JUL 2021 · In this sermon, Doug continues our study in Matthew 7:15 talking about false prophets and teachers. We learn that we are all under the influence of something and we need to be very aware and on our guard about our influences.

23 JUN 2021 · In this sermon, Doug dives deeper into our study on false prophets, specifically the greed of false prophets. He takes us through the story of the false prophet Balaam and warns us to be aware of the false teachers and prophets around us today.

5 MAY 2021 · In this sermon, Doug continues to teach us how to identify both the true and false prophets according to scripture. Last week we focused on true prophets, and this week, we study the false prophet and false teacher. A timely study for all of us in a day where lies outweigh the truth and the truth speaker is hard to come by.
