    5 DEC 2019 · Brewerytown Beats proudly presents a soul LP born in their backyard, the highly sought after 1975 release “I'll Get Over It” by North Philly's own, The Thompsons. The group's childhood home is mere blocks from the brick and mortar record store located on Girard Ave. It's not uncommon to spend an afternoon in the shop and encounter someone who either grew up with a Thompson, got schooled on a basketball court by one of the brothers at the 26th and Master recreation center, or had the pleasure of hearing them sing at a Vaux Jr High School talent show or The Big Dollar bar and music venue. Our first episode dives in head first in to the Thompson's world starting way back in the late 1960's, join us in exploring this unknown Philly soul masterpiece as we hear it directly from the people involved in making the record.
