Wreck tells the true stories of the world's great shipwrecks and the making of safety at sea. Each episode, host Nirob takes one wreck — a steamboat that exploded on the Mississippi in the last days of the Civil War, an ocean liner that struck ice on its first crossing, an excursion steamer that burned within sight of New York, a car ferry that capsized in the minutes after it left port — and rebuilds it: the ship and the age that built it, the state of the sea and the rules of the sea, the wreck as it happened, and the change in the design, the regulation, the lifeboats and the radio watch that came out of the disaster.

From the Sultana and the General Slocum to the Titanic and the Empress of Ireland, from the Eastland and the Morro Castle to the Herald of Free Enterprise and the Estonia, from the Costa Concordia to the Sewol, Wreck is the story of how the sea, which takes its toll on every generation of ships, has been made to give back some of what it takes. Meticulously researched, clear about the shipboard engineering, and honest about the difference between the record and the legend. Clean and suitable for all ages. A new wreck every week
