Without Warning's underlying theme is the price individuals pay for their service in active war zones and the importance of loving relationships in resolving the scars war leaves behind. In 2018, 46 years after it was disbanded, the Royal Australian Navy Helicopter Flight Vietnam was awarded a Unit Citation for Gallantry for acts of extraordinary gallantry in action.
