12 AUG 2026 · As part of VOICINGS, we begin a new series of poetry readings, AROUND A BLUE SUN, equally conceived as sonic experiments.
For the first episode, we focus on Elizabeth Bishop's poem "One Art".
Through a radical "versioning" that propels the poem into an experience of its own potential loss, we ask how Bishop's lesson in the art of losing can help prepare us to confront present and future disasters, and in them discover the seeds of new beginnings?
As Jean-Luc Godard puts it, "A catastrophe / is the first strophe / of a love poem".

7 OCT 2024 · Rafeef Ziadah recites the poem "If I Must Die" by Refaat Alareer who was killed in an airstrike by the Israeli military December 6, 2023, along with his brother, his brother's son, his sister and her three children. This poem written to his daughter in 2011 was published five weeks before his murder.
Collective project SOME STRINGS
Filmmakers and artists from around the world have formed SOME STRINGS, an ensemble of unreleased filmic gestures that is rooted in Palestine, where poet and teacher Refaat Alareer was assassinated. In his poem, "If I Must Die", published five weeks before his murder, Refaat Alareer calls those who should live to create a kite - a long-standing object of resistance - with bits of string and Some Strings, just like each of his readers, receives it as a legacy.
The kites here are a diversity of views that share a space against the silences, international indifference and continued approval of states, which are already fabricating memorial confusions about the greatest civilian massacre of the 21st century. The systematic extermination of the Palestinian people on Palestinian soil is taking place before our very eyes, and international diplomacy is failing to prevent war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocidal actions.

9 AUG 2024 · "Siempre" is part of "Unisonoa", a project by Ixiar Rozas which is both a collection of poems made up of a single line and a sound work. These were born and grew at the same time, somewhere on the horizon, and each one follows its own path together with a number of collaborators. A composition between rhythm, line, phrase, movement, undulation, vibration, voice, whisper and affect.

Ixiar Rozas is a writer and researcher who works at the threshold between voice, language and sound. Her narrative and poetry works, stage texts, reviews and short essays have been published in different countries and languages. 18 JUN 2024 · In the late June early July of 2023, a European regional Gathering of the Ecoversities Alliance took place in a very particular place – Arneo, South-East of Italy – a land where peasants struggled for the right of their land since 1950s, being repressed. Now this territory is again at risk.
Activists, artists, carpenters, refugees, and bike recycle enthusiast got together under the crowns of a unique forest of Arneo.
We’ve used this occasion to collect some Voicings and Recepies for Disaster. As part of Ecoversities Alliance we fully support the struggle of Arneo people against Porsch industry enlargement in the area.

Now this territory is again at risk.
Activists, artists, carpenters, refugees, and bike recycle enthusiast got together under the crowns of a unique forest of Arneo.
We’ve used this occasion to collect some Voicings and Recepies for Disaster. As part of Ecoversities Alliance we fully support the struggle of Arneo people against Porsch industry enlargement in the area.

29 OCT 2023 · In an address to the inaugural Palestine Festival of Literature, English writer, art critic and long-time supporter of Palestine John Berger gave a moving reading of Palestinian writer, Ghassan Kanafani’s “Letter from Gaza”. Kanafani was assassinated by the Israeli Mossad in 1972.
