8 AUG 2020 · We're back! In 2020! Well, we took a hiatus for a while, and we'll get to that soon... but today we've got one of our older guests. It's Liza! We get to talking about the pandemic and how it's affected our lives, in education and personally too. It's time to look at things a bit more optimistically, and even though we don't know what the future holds... we're ready for it... Utter Rubbish will try to stay a lot more on schedule... no promises, though!

12 DEC 2019 · Today, Suzanne and I decided to talk about Christmas and the spirit of giving and ended up talking about AI, technology and a whole lot more. 5 DEC 2019 · The UAE is a prime destination for tourism, and as teachers in the UAE, it is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the best of what the UAE has to offer. Plus, it's winter and Christmas is on it's way! However, this may not always be easy on a teacher's salary. So, Suzanne and I decided to talk about a couple of things that may make it easy for you if you're planning to get your family here for very first time. It was fun reminiscing about the various times our respective family members have been here; and even though it's a short episode, I think we had fun. 8 NOV 2019 · So we just got inspected (2 weeks ago) and we're sorry we couldn't put out a couple of episodes in between. But we're back! And we're here to talk about stress management. Stress hits us all, sometimes when we least expect it. Suzanne and I deconstruct what it's like to go through a week of inspections and whether it's worth the stress or not. 10 OCT 2019 · We've all been there, and at some point you're either observing someone, or being observed yourself. This week I talk about what I've learned from my observation of a few teachers. We stress upon the importance of having a system in place, team work, planning and practicing in order to get better at your craft. We also talk about common missteps teachers new to this region could take and how to quickly correct them.
