21 JUL 2019 · Emotional Intelligence is a term created by two researchers – Peter Salayoy and John Mayer – and popularized by Dan Goldman in his 1996 book of the same name. In practical terms, this means being aware that emotions can drive our behavior and impact people (positively or negatively), and learning how to manage those emotions –both our own and others – especially when we are under pressure. This episode discusses the concept with real life examples of how it can make or mar us. It also further suggests ways we can be aware and develop emotional intelligence.

7 JUL 2019 · Rape. This is not a new topic to everyone of us. Statistics have it that one of every 5 persons around each one of us is either a victim of rape or attempted rape. Rape is a very bad vice that leave trauma on its victims and the society at large. The most unfortunate part of it is that incidences of rape have increased in the past few years and the earlier we attack it before we all become victims the better. This podcast refereed to a highly publicized case of accused rape and the lessons we hope to get from it, how this can be addressed and hopefully, reduced to a safe minimum.

This particular episode is a review of the 2018/19 European football season. We also consulted the transfer meter to determine which transfers are likely to happen in the summer or not.

23 JUN 2019 · Abuse is a vastly discussed topic, however, emotional abuse is not talked about as much as physical and sexual abuses. Ironically, emotional abuse is more common than the other form of abuses and is usually the bud of abuses which often lead to physical or sexual abuses. The dreadful part of emotional abuse is that you can abuse or be abused without exactly knowing you are abusing. Hence, the importance of this podcast to enable us identify emotional abusive relationships and ways to handle it.

14 JUN 2019 · Today we discussed how we, as humans, interpret events as it happens to us and how we react to them. We also stressed how our reactions have a spiral effect on next actions and subsequent reactions. We clearly depict the difference between reality and perception. Reality being real life activities and perception being our reactions to it and how much of control we, as humans, have over our perceptions.
