Time and Space celebrates “Doctor Who,” one the world’s most enduring television sci-fi series. Co-hosts (and recently married couple) Jessica Nunn and Phillip Gilfus take an in-depth look at the current episodes of the Doctor and her companions, exploring how the new adventures of the Thirteenth Doctor break new ground and reach back into the canon. Jessica, a newer Whovian and an 11-year resident of the United Kingdom, and Phillip, a lifelong resident of the USA and fan of classic & nuWho, join together to discuss characters, stories, technology, Big Finish audio adventures, novels, and comics. They journey into the “TARDIS archives” each episode to look at how classic Doctor adventures helped pave the way to contemporary stories. We have a new Doctor!
Ncuti Gatwa was announced as the Fourteenth Doctor, starting in 2023 under returning showrunner Russell T. Davies. We're joined by Richard (@CleverDickFilms) to talk about what we can expect in the "RTD2" era. However, we don't forget that we still have a Doctor to say goodbye to. Fans have been teased by what awaits the final appearance of the Thirteen Doctor in the BBC centenary special. How will we leave Jodie Whittaker's Time Lord and her companions, Yaz and Dan? Where do we think Chris Chibnall will take us? Let us know what you're excited about for the remaining Whittaker era and the upcoming Gatwa era.
Note: This podcast was recorded before the news was released about David Tennant and Catherine Tate returning to Doctor Who next year, in some mysterious capacity, as the Doctor and Donna Noble.

We often talk about Clever Dick Films, the data (and humor) packed Doctor Who YouTube channel that analyzes the different eras of the program. It's past time to spend time with the face behind the channel - Richard Carrier. Richard recently went from behind the camera to in front of it with his recent appearance on "The Chase." He talks about his experience as a contestant with Who alum host Bradley Walsh, his visit to the London-based "The Who Shop," and his visit to the immersive experience "Doctor Who: Time Fracture." His adventures keep us in the spirit of time & space as we await the next series of new Who!

Our favorite Whovian actors have a wide filmography - so we look into one of our favorites, River Song herself, in a 1996 mini-series, "The Fortunes and Misfortunes of Moll Flanders." Alex Kingston plays the titular role, based on the Daniel Defoe novel, as she seeks to be a "gentlewoman" in a society that pushes back against women. The four episodes span a wide assortment of romances and adventures (and children!) that leave their mark on Alex's performance. In our look into the TARDIS library, the couple examine the Academy Award-winning short film written and directed by the 12th Doctor, Peter Capaldi, "Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life."

"Staged," starring the Tenth Doctor himself, David Tennant, and Michael Sheen, made the most of COVID restriction by embarking on six hilarious episodes in its first series. We talk about the characters/actors and how it worked.
