Hi there.
Glad to see you in my podcast. I hope it will be useful to you. In my podcast, I plan to cover various emerging technologies, mostly new technologies in the automotive world, among cars, trucks and electric cars.

Below is a review of my favorite Ford truck.

From the climate, Ford Trucks 4142D has an Eberspaecher wet-type autonomous heater and air conditioning with recirculation mode. I did not test the heater, but the air conditioner was frankly pleased. Works quietly and efficiently.

Open the hood before lifting the cab. There are no warning signals or blockages here, so rely only on your attentiveness. By the way, the lower windows in the doors significantly increase the view to help the mirrors - there are no dead zones at all, all sections of the road are clearly visible from the cab.

The very raising of the cab is carried out with a conventional wheel wrench, which is always and everywhere. Very comfortably.

There is a 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine Ecotorq (FHR5) with a volume of 12.7 liters and a power of 420 hp.

An interesting feature is the engine start and stop buttons, which are convenient to use during repairs and diagnostics, according to service specialists at Tacoma www.tacomatruck.repair, you do not need to climb into the raised cab to start the car.

Special attention should be paid to the body. There is a Grunwald F22-SH-II tipper body of the HALF-PIPE type made of Hardox 450 wear-resistant steel with rear unloading, certified under the "Hardox in my body" program with a reinforced anti-roll bar. Hydraulics - Italian Binotto with a working pressure of 200 bar. There is a ladder at the front of the body, and there are also steps inside the body itself. The visor is made of steel, and with the possibility of replacement. A mechanical (there is also a complete set with an automatic) awning CRAMARO is integrated in the visor.

Of course, all high-pressure hoses are covered with a protective sheath, the hydraulic system pressure sensor signals a raised body, an automatic locking mechanism opens the tailgate only when it is raised by at least 2 degrees - in general, safety is at its best. The maximum body lift angle is up to 50 degrees.

The semicircular cross-section of the body accelerates the unloading of inert cargo, plus this type is more resistant to damage. Steps can be seen on the left.

The base of the body is made of steel HARDOX 500TUF, which has a 30% advantage in abrasion compared to Hardox 450. The body is equipped with an exhaust gas heating system. It is very convenient at sub-zero temperatures.

Well, it's time for a ride. In the cockpit you feel like in a good spacious passenger car. Comfortable control, gear shifting smooth and not "cargo" - merit of the 16-speed gearbox ZF 16S 2230. Testing took place on a two-lane road outside the city, the quality of which left much to be desired. I expected that the rumble from the empty body (the dump truck was distilled, of course, empty) would be incredible ... but it was not at all! The second pleasant surprise is the reversal angle. It is, of course, more than on any SUV, but on a two-lane road it is real and not even difficult to turn around.

In general, the Ford Trucks 4142D performed very well. There is not a single negative emotion after the test drive. Easy, I would even say "passenger" control, excellent visibility from the cockpit, all controls are at hand, severe minimalism in the interior, but there are many compartments and niches for all occasions (compensation for the absence of a sleeping bag that could be turned into a luggage rack), a powerful engine coupled with an excellent gearbox, allowing you to feel confident on any road and off road.

The result is a harsh and simple dump truck for work. Without pathos, but reliable and unpretentious
