21 APR 2022 · After her dreambirth was taken away from her during an abusive, highly intervened with and traumatic first birth experience (following the diagnosis of Gestational Thrombocytopenia at 35 weeks) Kailah knew something wasn't right post birth and opened herself up to another way for her next birthing experience. Feeling unprepared and lacking the feminine guidance she desired in her first pregnancy (although she received continuity of care) and realising Private Midwifery and Doula support was unaffordable, she divinely reconnected with a friend who brought the idea of birthing unassisted into her consciousness. 17 NOV 2021 · Celebrating Death in Birth: The Early Freebirth of Freya Rose After experiencing a traumatic first birth, Erin decided she was going to freebirth her second child and during her pregnancy weaved a beautiful web of wise women around her; who would later become her supportive tribe when she birthed her babe early. Erin speaks so powerfully and so candidly about the loss of her baby girl and the medicine she received in being able to do so. She touches on the stigma around miscarriages and the unspoken process that becomes so dehumanised by the way society speaks about it and her newfound understanding that she wishes to share with other women - that death is sad, but not scary. Erin shares about the painful moment she first realised her baby had died, she describes the physiology of birthing her baby undisturbed and freely in her home, the difference between fear and body wisdom/intuition, the ways in she which she honoured her daughter, herself and her experience - and expresses so perfectly the duality of celebrating life and death together. Erin shares the gratitude and growth she leant into, her new relationship to life and birth via the desire she had to experience it all (physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally), the reclamation of, and reconnection to her body wisdom, through witnessing her body birth her babe unassisted - and the beautiful way she speaks about it all with her youngest daughter. 26 OCT 2021 · After an older wise women in her community told Kendall that Mothers used to birth their babies in the local river, she decided to birth her first babe at home - and that hiring a Midwife would be a 'happy medium' as a first time Mum. But once there was meconium in her waters, and her Midwife had consulted the hospital behind her back, she didn't feel supported anymore. Kendall's homebirth transfer resulted in a traumatic first birth. She lost trust in herself and became confused as to why her experience was so different from the birth vision she had worked so hard to manifest. Second time pregnant, Kendall spontaneously cancelled her one and only Midwife appointment to go surfing with her husband - and from that day forward took sole responsibility of her prenatal care. Kendall rented an Air BnB and found a supportive birth partner in her sister, alongside her husband. A momentary lapse in confidence during labour saw Kendall heading back to the same hospital she had birthed her first son. But divine intervention (and 2 cattle grids!) swept in en route to stop that from happening. 1 OCT 2021 · After a traumatic and painful induced first birth, followed by a disconnected postpartum; Chantelle swore she would never birth in the same rural hospital within her South Australian town ever again. Chantelle shares her journey to an unassisted second birth, including her early birth and loss in between and the visitation form her Spirit Baby that guided her in learning to trust herself again. She shares the ways in which she navigated a wild pregnancy in a small Australian town and the boundaries required when those closest to her disagreed with her birthing choices. Chantelle describes the way every part of her sacred and powerful freebirth healed her, including the revisitation to the hospital she had sworn never to return to, after an issue with her placenta delivery.
