  • Bob Nightingale MBE - Have No Ego And Pride

16 JUN 2022 · Bob is the Founder, former Chief Executive, and current Head of Fundraising for the London Legal Support Trust; for his services as a champion of social justice and in bringing access to justice for the most impoverished of society in and around London and the South East of England, he was awarded the “Most Excellent Order of the British Empire” or “MBE”. The London Legal Support Trust is an independent charity that fundraises with the purpose of assisting law centres across London and the South East of England. The reason why this is so crucial and very badly needed is because of the lack of access to justice many of the most disadvantaged of society experience, largely due to the insufficient funds set aside by the UK government for Legal Aid, the scheme by which those earning less than a certain threshold may apply for public funds for legal advice and services. Interestingly, although Bob has always worked in the public legal services arena, he isn’t actually a lawyer himself! But, despite not being trained academically in the law, there is no better voice of experience when it comes to the subject of “Access to Justice” than Bob. In short, Bob has worked tirelessly over almost 50 years, to bring Access to Justice to the most marginalised of UK society.
