The London Legal Support Trust is an independent charity that fundraises with the purpose of assisting law centres across London and the South East of England. The reason why this is so crucial and very badly needed is because of the lack of access to justice many of the most disadvantaged of society experience, largely due to the insufficient funds set aside by the UK government for Legal Aid, the scheme by which those earning less than a certain threshold may apply for public funds for legal advice and services. Interestingly, although Bob has always worked in the public legal services arena, he isn’t actually a lawyer himself! But, despite not being trained academically in the law, there is no better voice of experience when it comes to the subject of “Access to Justice” than Bob.
