Enter the world of ancient Greece with The Gilbert Murray Library, a complete spoken collection of the works of one of the great interpreters of Greek literature, religion, and tragedy.
Here are gods and heroes, poets and philosophers, rituals half-hidden by time, and the enduring questions that haunted the Greek imagination: what makes a civilization humane, why men go to war, how suffering may be understood, and what remains when old beliefs begin to fail.
Murray wrote not as an antiquarian, but as one convinced that the Greeks still had something urgent to say to the modern world. These readings restore his books to the voice, inviting you to encounter Greek thought as a living tradition rather than a relic of the past.
