  • FINDING "MYGROOVE"

3 JUL 2020 · Here in this episode, I give you listeners out there an update on our upcoming event, "What's The Verdict". Also, I just got the keys to my new shared creative space in Oakland, CA where we will be hosting events such as art shows, workshops, open mics, and anything about building up our community in a positive way. So big shout to Sharee Adriazola (Brand Consultant & Strategist) and your company MyGroove Design, Inc., (Brand Consulting and Graphic Design Studio), for opening this space up to me! If you would like to connect with Sharee please go to her website at www.mygroovedesign.com. Recently I was able to team up with the founder of So Richmond, Queen MayraDayann, and see the work that she and her army are doing here in the Bay Area. After I saw the influence she has and the heart of hers, I then made the executive decision to choose them as the organization we will be raising funds for. So Richmond helps local businesses in the bay area, rising talents, and people who are traditionally overlooked. If you would like to show your support please donate your funds via Cash App to the handle provided. Once again, thank you STFU Designs for being our judges in this speech competition, "What's The Verdict". Also, I would like to say thank you to our two contestants Ariel and Ori for stepping up and participating in this speech competition. I pray that you both deliver your speech in a way where it touches the masses. It's been real, and I would like to wish you viewers peace and blessings. Please go follow us on IG @talkaboutit5. If you would like to donate to this event please Cash App @$IsiahLosoya. All proceeds will go to So Richmond.

  • I Made It Out of Foster Care So Can You

12 JUN 2020 · Talk About It | Podcast | Here in this episode, "I Made It Out of Foster Care So Can You", I share the challenges I faced being in foster care, and how I manage to cope with being without my family. I thought it was important to share my story so that it makes it easier for you to connect with me. Because maybe you too were exposed to some trauma in your life, or experienced hard times growing up. Here at Talk About It we share stories that help others heal, and so that we grow from that pain. This way, we shed light on the successes of people of color, and come together to bridge the divide in our communities! Stay blessed until next time. • Monday Check In

9 JUN 2020 · Talk About It | Podcast | Happy Monday to all of you! I got the chance to hit the streets of Oakland today and help with some community cleaning that was hosted by @thetownexperience. So big shout out to the @townexperience, yal did your thing out there today and put smiles on faces. Hopefully you ladies and gents are getting your sunshine as well, and not staying cooped up inside. Here in this episode, I give you details on our Speech Competiton that will be held in the first week of July. Remember the deadline to sign up is in two weeks and if you want to enter you must follow @talkaboutit5 first on IG. Then DM your name , age , and a good email to contact you at. We will email all contestants with further updates once everyone is all signed up. Once again, first place winners, second place, and third place winners will all receive cash prizes! We also will be raising up money for an organization that fights for racial justice. The last thing to remember is that public speaking will be required and it will be recorded. This is why we are having all contestants sign a release of liability form. Our second episode will be coming up this Friday where I talk in-depth about my experiences of being a foster child and how I made it out the system. This will be good for Foster Parents and our foster youth to hear my story. We all want to feel like we have someone relate to and you will be able to do that this Friday by tuning in!
