  • Ryan “Birdman” Parrott - Sons of The Flag, The Resource for Burn Survivors

    3 FEB 2018 · Ryan Parrott and his team have set up a charity called Sons of the Flag, Supporting Veterans, First Responders, and their families through a Burn Injury. They identify the patient, and send them to a center for excellence for reconstructive burn care to get the results they so deserve for a better quality of live. Sons of the Flag helped to develop this center for excellence and are calling this program, Mission: Reconstruct Freedom. Free to all Veterans and First Responders that qualify. Burn Patients and their families always ask the question, what’s next for me, or where do I go from here, after the injury occurs and initial hospitalization is complete. This is where Sons of the Flag comes alongside the patient and family to help navigate the unknown. It was only when he changed his mind set and associations that he saw his life transform right before his very eyes—and he’s on a mission to aid others in doing the same. From the Host: A few years ago my wife and I had a celebration and invited a hundred of our closest friends and family to celebrate life, love and happiness with us. As we planned what we thought to be the most important party factors ( food, beverage, music, location) , we stumbled upon the idea of a photo booth for our guest. Now, I can be a pretty serious person and have always shunned the idea of a photo booth but conceded for our party. Ends up that the photo booth was the hit of the party! We could not keep our friends out of this thing and admittedly I enjoyed it quite a bit myself. The greatest benefit came 1 week later when the owner of the booth sent us a disc with all of our photos on it. What a gift to be able to peek into the booth with others when they let their hair down ( and sometimes added some hair )! I am now a fan of the photo booth and the absolute fun and frolic that it brings to any environment.   • Detroit Real Estate, The come back city!

    27 OCT 2017 · About the episode: We are continuing the conversation around all things real estate and I would like to make a pit stop and talk about some place near and dear to my heart, Detroit and Detroit Real Estate; where it is, where it’s going and how to get in on it! No one can argue that the architecture available in the city of Detroit is unsurpassed. The majesty and detail of the mini-mansions that occupy the tree lined streets in the Palmer Woods, Boston Edison Districts(so many more I can’t mention them all here) neighborhoods is near impossible to find today in new construction. This city like many others, was severely impacted as a result of the crash and created a flood of vacant homes, foreclosures and short sales. Now, I am so excited to celebrate that the City of Detroit is back and its real estate values are being impacted by the flood of people that that want to occupy mid-town, downtown and so many other areas! So much to do and so much fun to be had from the River Walk down town and The Eastern Market to the Mid-Town District there’s fun for everyone and all ages, stages and cultures! Take a peak next time your moving through the city and you will be so pleasantly surprised at all that it offers to it’s visitors and more importantly, it’s ride or die residents!
