    15 SEP 2016 · In this episode, Leslie Samuel talks about how his blog, which has over 70,000 visitors per month, led to him becoming a college professor teaching anatomy and biology to graduate and doctoral students. Leslie is from the Island of St. Martin and he proudly shares some of his memories especially that of his dad’s favorite drink. Even though he – Leslie, doesn’t do a whole lot of Island cooking, yet he can hold his own when he has to. You will be inspired, entertained and empowered as Leslie takes us on his journey from St. Martin to the United States and his acclamation process. One of the statements that Leslie made is that if you are going to be successful, you need to find a way to do something different. She bought a one-way ticket as a way of helping her make the decision. However after competing in the Miss Jamaica contest and was a semi-finalist, she eventually returned to the United States. You will hear her speak about some of her greatest accomplishments, but the most important is motherhood. She gives some solid advice towards the end of the show as to what you can do to pursue and achieve your dream. This show is geared towards empowering and motivating caribbean people to pursue their dream no matter where they are in life.

The format of the show will be interviews and inspirational stories of caribbean immigrants who have achieved some level of success away from their homeland.

Upon hearing these stories and interviews, the hope is that you the listener, will be inspired to pursue your dream no matter what.

You will hear how these immigrants have overcome the odds to achieve their success. These stories will motivate you to start your own business, become an author, speaker, medical professional, pursue your academic goals such as a bachelor, masters or doctoral degree.

Some of the issues we will also cover will have to do with immigration, assimilation in a new culture and the basic information that is sometimes overlooked.

The host of the show is Kingsley Grant who is an immigrant from Jamaica now residing in the United States for almost 40 years.
