Every episode is told entirely through Ellis’s perspective as he navigates ancient vaults, forbidden forests, dangerous spells, political intrigue, and a school where the portraits listen more carefully than the professors. His search for answers draws him toward ancient magic, dark forces, and secrets older than the castle itself.

Along the way, Ellis encounters familiar figures including Sebastian Sallow, Poppy Sweeting, and Ominis Gaunt. But the mystery of the Obsidian Mirror is an original journey—one that forces Ellis to question his family, his power, and what truly happened to his mother.
