Josh talks about how the digital advancements will help safety engineers/consultants provide effective and safe solutions remotely. He also outlines the importance of working with people who supported him as a graduate and gave him the confidence to be innovative and to have a voice.

28 JAN 2021 · Safety Matters Volume 5 with the wonderful Rachel Bennett who talks about her experiences in Human Factors. This is a great listen for any aspiring engineers or anyone who wants to learn/understand more about the physiological side of Human Factors.

1 DEC 2020 · This months podcast is with the brilliant Ben Gilmartin from the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) who talks about the challenges they face and advancements they are making in the rail industry. Ben talks about many interesting subjects and provides a glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes to keep the UK railways safe. This includes updating Victorian equipment and factoring in us/the public. Ben also talks about how being part of the Safety and Reliability Society has helped him broaden his knowledge across a wide range of areas. I am very keen to hear from anyone who would like to take part in a Safety Matters podcast and also keen to get your feedback on any of the editions released so far. Jeni also talks about what helped her learn and progress which is a “must listen” for any aspiring engineer or graduate regardless of discipline or specialism.
