Rush tells the true stories of the world's great gold rushes and the making of the mining age. Each episode, host Nirob takes one rush — the discovery that set a nation running, the stampede of the prospectors across the oceans and the mountains, the camp that grew in a season into a city, the river that was torn apart and the hillside that was washed away — and rebuilds it: the strike and the world that heard the news, the journey of the men and women who came to the gold fields, the life and the death of the camp, the riches that were found and the riches that were lost, and the change that the rush brought to the land and the people who came to it.

From the first gold of the Americas and the rush to California to the gold of Australia and New Zealand, from the Comstock Lode and the Black Hills to the Klondike, the rush to the Witwatersrand and the gold of the twentieth century, Rush is the story of the greatest migrations and the greatest transformations in the history of the modern world. Meticulously researched, clear about the mining and the money, and honest about the difference between the legend of the gold fields and the reality. Clean and suitable for all ages. A new rush every week
