Join the little boy who adores Uncle Remus and his enchanting tales, as the storytelling sessions attract an eclectic mix of listeners. Daddy Jack, an old Africa man visiting from the countryside; Sis Tempy, the formidable chief of the mansions servants; and the charming young servant-girl, Tildy, all find their way to Uncle Remus humble cabin whenever they can, eager to gather around the hearth and be captivated by his remarkable stories of clever animals like Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox. As the visitors take turns sharing their own versions of the tales, it becomes clear that storytelling is a communal art, where cunning animals often outsmart their peers through flattery, mischief, or sheer cleverness. Following the success of Harris Uncle Remus His Songs and His Sayings (http//librivox.org/uncle-remus-by-joel-chandler-harris/), this first sequel brings to life more of the beloved stories he encountered during his youth on the plantation.
