He made his way into the international ranks of Alpine Ski Racing before switching over to the Big Mountain Freeride Competitions, formally known as Extreme Skiing Competitions. During the offseason, Chris raced road bikes professionally for one of the top Continental Teams. Both sports allowed him to spend time at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs where he was exposed to Exercise Physiology.
