Step into the thrilling world of Master Mystery, where the legendary Harry Houdini makes his debut in the silent film era. Although he was not primarily a screen actor, filmmakers sought to harness his fame in this captivating serial. The story follows Quentin Locke, a brilliant scientist and U.S. Justice Department agent, who is also an extraordinary escape artist. As Locke navigates a series of daring challenges, including confrontations with a gang of criminals and a groundbreaking metal robot known as an automaton—believed to be the first of its kind in film—he embarks on a mission to protect inventors from patent theft. With heart-pounding escapes from straitjackets, diver suits, and even an electric chair, Lockes journey is filled with excitement and romance as he wins the heart of an industrialists daughter along the way.
