31 MAY 2023 · In this exclusive first on Maroon Mindset Podcast, I am delighted to catch up with my first guest, Simon from HRMC. Take a break, grab a brew and a pen and hear more about how easy it is to make use of these opportunities to reclaim work expenses directly from HMRC, that too often are not reclaimed. It could be the best 15 minutes you could spend by simply visiting www.gov.uk and search "employee tax relief" to see what you are eligible to reclaim. If you have a government gateway account, you can use this too.Download the HMRC app from the app store and tell me how it goes. Just remember that we all need to safe safe online and avoid using agencies to make claims. Remember to:- Protect - your online accounts and protect your passwords- Recognise - be alert to spot scams and never click on links- Report - any suspicious activity must be reported immediately using a number of mediums including texting HMRC on 60599. 30 MAR 2022 · A brief episode to start a conversation going regarding the ontology of success for students. In my role, I need to maintain a curious mind and lifelong learning is key. Some of the questions that are floating in my head as I ponder on today’s topic include: - What is success?
- Can success be defined?
- Is success a real phenomenon?
- Is success subjective?
- Is there an objective measure of success?
- What are the drivers and barriers to success for students?
Please leave a comment, share your world view and join the conversation!
