27 SEP 2024 · In this episode of "Keep Going with Drew Funk", Drew shares his personal experience of a failed startup and how it influenced his career path. He explains the story of premature enthusiasm and eventual failure when he tried to establish a tech startup right after his MBA. Reflecting back on these experiences, Drew identifies three significant learnings: understanding market needs, building a diverse team for varied ideas, and the importance of resilience in the face of failure. He encourages listeners to embrace failure and extract learnable lessons from it, rather than fearing it. Drawing parallels to successful individuals and their failures, he emphasizes that the response to failure defines subsequent outcomes. The episode ends with a challenge for listeners to reflect on their recent failures and try to determine what they can learn from them.

27 SEP 2024 · In the opening episode of "Keep Going with Drew Funk," Drew explores the transformative power of simply showing up and being consistent. He shares the personal story of how he initiated a movement to clean up a derelict local park in his Oklahoma neighborhood. This seemingly small act of showing up consistently every Saturday gradually inspired his neighbors to join in, eventually creating a strong sense of community. The community's collective efforts later led to acquiring new playground equipment, launching a neighborhood watch, and promoting local businesses. As a result, Drew encourages listeners to identify a need in their communities and commit to consistently acting upon it, emphasizing that seemingly small and consistent contributions can indeed catalyze significant, positive change over time.
