Step into the haunting world of Bram Stokers Dracula, published in 1897, a pivotal work in the Gothic horror genre that predates it with a rich tapestry of eerie tales. Presented in an epistolary format, the narrative unfolds through the journals and letters of its main characters. At its heart lies the chilling tale of Count Dracula, the oldest and most malevolent of vampires, who sets his sights on England, intent on expanding his dark legacy. A band of five determined friends rises to confront him, ultimately driving him back to his ominous castle in Transylvania. While the story itself is a gripping horror narrative, it is the character of Dracula that has captivated audiences for over a century. This iconic figure has inspired countless adaptations across stage, film, and television, making Dracula synonymous with the undead and the embodiment of evil. - Summary by Peter Keeble
