Hello! In creating this podcast, my main intention is to raise public awareness about disability and the aspects that affect our lives and their quality. I write 'our' because I myself have been disabled for 18 years, and because, in People with Disabilities (PwD) terminology, I am a 'living experience' and I decided to create my own podcast. So, in these recordings, I am combining practical and theoretical knowledge which, I hope, will have a positive impact on the reliability and authenticity of the facts discussed in the individual episodes of the podcast.

Apart from the fact that the topics of these episodes will oscillate around disability, my aim is not to discuss only regional or national issues, but on a global scale, and not to focus only on disability as such, but the aspects that shape our reality and have a direct impact on its quality and the perception of the social construct that is 'disability'. The environment in our lives is an extremely important factor. In brief, in these episodes, I will take a closer look at topics such as appropriate language towards people with disabilities, examples of ableist language, and myths and try to dispel some of them, I will talk about disability in the workplace or disability in the media narrative.

The aim of this podcast is not just to reach an audience of people with disabilities, as human resources professionals can find valuable, I hope, tips on organizing an inclusive workplace here, I will also mention about reasonable accommodation and the advantages of having a disabled workforce and special skills that some of them obtain.

Transcripts of this podcast will appear on my blog disabilityperspective. com, where I will be posting material on selected disability celebrations, transcripts of this podcast and a list of the sources I used in the process of creating them.
