Canvas tells the true stories behind the world's great art. Each episode, host Nirob takes one artwork, one theft, or one forger — the Mona Lisa lifted from the Louvre in 1911, a Dutch painter who sold fake Vermeers to the Nazis, the 1990 Boston heist that has never been solved, the amber room that vanished in the Second World War — and rebuilds it: the artist, the work, the crime or the fraud, the discovery, and the meaning we attach to the beautiful.

From Michelangelo forging an antique as a young man to the modern market of counterfeit masterpieces, from the Nazi looting of Europe to the most expensive painting ever sold, Canvas is about the strange, secret life of art — how it is made, how it is stolen, how it is faked, and why a piece of canvas and pigment can be worth a fortune, a life, or a war. Meticulously researched, honest about what is documented and what is legend. Clean and suitable for all ages. A new story every week
