19 JAN 2018 · The success of a film often depends on its ending. Imagine if The Shawshank Redemption didn't end with Andy Dufresne escaping Shawshank Prison and sailing away with Red. Or imagine if the original Planet of the Apes movie didn't end in such a shocking fashion with Charton Heston discovering he's actually been on earth all along.
For the first time in a year, I talked film with someone else on the podcast. My guest today is Jacob Meeks, one of my oldest friends and fellow movie lover, and we discussed an impossible topic: our five favorite movie endings of all time.
Our lists contain films from some of the most talented filmmakers of all time - Christopher Nolan, Alfred Hitchcock, David Fincher, John Carpenter, and so many more.
A big thanks to Chasing Dreams for "Magic Sky", the intro and outro music for this podcast. You can find a link to all of his work on Soundcloud and Youtube.

7 JAN 2018 · There were lots of gems in 2017, but still plenty of movies that disappointed me or that I thought were just flat out terrible. Tweet at me @barabbaspodcast and let me know what films you thought were not so great this year!

4 JAN 2018 · 2017 was a great year for film and here's hoping 2018 is even better! You can probably tell but I was a bit sick while recording this episode, so my apologies for how annoying my voice sounds.
The intro and outro song is called "Magic Sky" and it comes from the band Chasing Dreams.
Thank you all for listening to this podcast, for supporting me, and encouraging me throughout the last year. I know my platform is small, but I really do think we're creating something special here. Let's continue cultivating that in the coming year. Cheers, everyone!

12 DEC 2017 · Wonder is a beautiful film with a big heart. It reminds us of something familiar; something we've all been taught, yet does so in a newly profound way: choose kind. I loved the movie and 100% recommend it.
As always, be sure to listen to Data Rebel! They created the intro and outro music for this podcast and I love their work.
In honor of The Last Jedi, stay tuned for my SPOILER review of The Force Awakens! Cheers, everyone!
19 NOV 2017 · Justice League is far from perfect, but still a fun film and overall solid CBM. It's a step in the right direction for DC and Warner Bros and has me excited for Aquaman and the coming DC lineup. Thank you for listening to my review of the movie! If you enjoy this podcast, consider subscribing and leaving a review on iTunes!
As always, a big thank you to Data Rebel for the intro and outro music for this podcast. Stay tuned for a coming episode on Christianity and Horror movies and how I think those two worlds connect.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
5 NOV 2017 · Thank you for listening to the podcast! I love the horror genre and can't stand the unfair criticism it tends to generate. My next episode will be a controversial one: Christians and horror movies. Until then, I hope you take the time to watch some of these films and enjoy them.
Thank you, as always, to Data Rebel for their into and outro song, "Think of View". You can find more of their work here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOC0gA_Bv6JjHfGqb4gKLVw

15 OCT 2017 · Columbus is one of my favorite movies of the year. It's small film with a big heart. It's quiet, but genuine and mesmerizing at the same time. If the film plays in a theater near you, don't think twice about going to see it.
If you enjoy my reviews, then please drop a rating and a review on iTunes. That helps this podcast out a ton. Also, be sure to follow the podcast on Twitter - @barabbaspodcast.
15 OCT 2017 · Mother! is a controversial film (and not very good, in my opinion), but I respect Darren Aronofsky's vision and boldness. Tweet at me @barabbaspodcast if you saw the film!
Once again, a major thank you to Data Rebel for the intro and outro song, "Think of View." Be sure to check out their music on SoundCloud.
If you enjoy my reviews, please drop a rating and review on iTunes. It goes a really long way in helping out the podcast. Thank you so much for listening!
14 AUG 2017 · I was genuinely blown away by Baby Driver. Edgar Wright is one of the best directors working today, in my opinion, and I can't wait to see what he tackles next! You can hear my review of it and my 5 favorite movies of the year so far on this episode.
Thanks to Data Rebel for the intro and outro song for this episode of the show. Be sure to give them a listen: https://soundcloud.com/datarebel
14 AUG 2017 · A Ghost Story is one of the best films I've seen all year. It's a poetic, unforgettable tale that explores time, love, and grief. I can't recommend it enough.
A big thanks to Michael McDonald for letting me use his beautiful ambient track "The Dancer" on this episode of the podcast. Also, thanks to The Monk by the Sea for their continual support. You can find a link to their music here:
