Ken Jeffries talks with Erez Sherman (co-Senior Rabbi at LA’s Sinai Temple) …who recently joined a new group called “Athletes Against Anti-Semitism and Discrimination”. It’s backed by the Ferencz Institute (http://ferenczinstitute.org/) headed by recently retired Davidson College Coach Bob McKillop who—during his tenure—coached future NBA star Steph Curry. In 2018…McKillop led his North-Carolina-based team on what was referred to as a “Basketball Journey of Remembrance”…to Auschwitz.

    3 JAN 2023 · Ted Deutch @AJCCEO the former Florida congressman who now heads AJC (American Jewish Committee) tells Ken Jeffries about a recent meeting with Jewish NBA Commissioner Adam Silver designed to combat anti-Semitism among black NBA playerrs. This was in the wake of Brooklyn Nets’ star Kyrie Irving’s recent suspension over the promotion of an anti-Semitic film. Deutch also tells Jeffries that anti-Semitism is not necessarily a political Left vs. Right issue. He also details what he feels are his greatest satisfactions and challenges at AJC.
