"if I was in charge"....I say it all the time. I would like to see Congress call an emergency meeting, pass a bill to give a 10 year moratorium on taxes & end of all red-tape for any American company willing to open a factory (retool if necessary) & produce goods that we currently import from China.

Unfortunately chips requires raw supplies, slower to get. And antibiotics require time to grow. We need those plants back in the US

exactly Tim....& I'd ramp up manufacturing at the same time. China is just waiting for us to be distracted to move. We need to protect ourselves from them at the same time.....most specifically with computer chips & Meds.
