Story Transcript:

Sr: Jednog sunčanog jutra, u malom selu kraj reke, započela je priča o neobičnoj trci.
En: One sunny morning, in a small village by the river, a story about an unusual race began.

Sr: Aleksandar, Jelena i Miloš su sedeli za drvenim stolom u staroj kafani "Zlatni žetelac".
En: Aleksandar, Jelena, and Miloš were sitting at a wooden table in the old tavern "Golden Harvester."

Sr: Miris pečenog mesa se širio iz kuhinje, a vazduh je bio ispunjen pesmom starih tamburaša.
En: The smell of roasted meat wafted from the kitchen, and the air was filled with the songs of old tamburitza players.

Sr: "Čuo sam da imaš najbrži traktor u selu," reče Miloš, pogledavši Aleksandra ispod oštra.
En: "I heard you have the fastest tractor in the village," Miloš said, looking at Aleksandar intently.

Sr: Aleksandar, mladić visokog stasa i jake građe, zadovoljno se osmehnu i odgovori: "Da, moj 'Zmaj' je pravo čudo."
En: Aleksandar, a tall and strong young man, smiled contently and replied, "Yes, my 'Zmaj' is truly remarkable."

Sr: Jelena, devojka dugih, crnih kosa i očiju nežno braon, znatiželjno upita: "Da li je stvarno toliko brz kako pričaju?"
En: Jelena, a girl with long, black hair and gentle brown eyes, asked curiously, "Is it really as fast as they say?"

Sr: "Zašto ne organizujemo trku pa da se uverite?" predloži Aleksandar s izazovom u glasu.
En: "Why don't we organize a race to find out?" Aleksandar suggested challengingly.

Sr: Priča se brzo raširi selom, i uskoro se svi okupiše da vide trku.
En: The story quickly spread throughout the village, and soon everyone gathered to witness the race.

Sr: Polje iza kafane "Zlatni žetelac" postade pistom za neobičnu trku traktora.
En: The field behind the tavern "Golden Harvester" became the track for the unusual tractor race.

Sr: Prasak iz pištolja dade signal i traktori pojure njivom, dižući oblak prašine iza sebe.
En: The sound of a pistol shot signaled the start, and the tractors raced across the field, kicking up a cloud of dust behind them.

Sr: Aleksandarov "Zmaj" je brzo iskopčao i stekao prednost. Međutim, Miloš nije odustajao. Pritiskao je gas svog starog, ali pouzdanog traktora, nadajući se da će preteći Aleksandra.
En: Aleksandar's "Zmaj" quickly pulled ahead. However, Miloš didn't give up. He pressed the gas of his old but reliable tractor, hoping to overtake Aleksandar.

Sr: Jelena je zapljeskala rukama, podržavajući obojicu. Njen glasan navijanje se čulo sve do drvenog stola gde su ostavili svoje šoljice punjene crnom kafom.
En: Jelena clapped her hands, supporting both of them. Her loud cheering could be heard all the way to the wooden table where they had left their cups filled with black coffee.

Sr: Kako se cilj približavao, "Zmaj" se iznenada zaustavi. Aleksandar je počeo da gunđa i da udara po volanu, ali bilo je prekasno. Miloš je prošao ciljem prvi i pobedio.
En: As the finish line approached, "Zmaj" suddenly came to a halt. Aleksandar began to grumble and pound the steering wheel, but it was too late. Miloš crossed the finish line first and won.

Sr: Selo je odjekivalo aplauzom za Miloša, a Jelena je dotrčala da ga zagrli. Iako razočaran, Aleksandar nije mogao da se ne nasmeje. "Dobra trka," reče Miloš, pružajući ruku ka Aleksandru.
En: The village echoed with applause for Miloš, and Jelena ran to hug him. Although disappointed, Aleksandar couldn't help but smile. "Good race," Miloš said, reaching out his hand to Aleksandar.

Sr: "Prihvatam poraz," prizna Aleksandar, stišćući Miloševu ruku. "Sledeće godine opet trkamo!"
En: "I accept defeat," admitted Aleksandar, shaking Miloš's hand. "We'll race again next year!"

Sr: Na kraju dana, u kafani "Zlatni žetelac", sva troje su nazdravili prijateljstvu i dobrom takmičenju. Smeštajuci se bliže vatri iz kamina, svi su znali da će ova neobična trka na traktorima ostati u sećanju seljana za mnogo godina koje dolaze.
En: At the end of the day, at the "Golden Harvester" tavern, all three of them toasted to friendship and good competition. As they moved closer to the fireplace, they all knew that this unusual tractor race would remain in the memories of the villagers for many years to come.
