Let's go back to the 1800's in Tasmania where a small community was rocked by a tragedy. The papers say she did it, but what do you think happened?

Hi Lexi, I Iistened to your podcast about Catherine Mary Glover and the Triabunna Tragedy and thought I should pass on some corrections, not as criticisms, just trying to help with your research. It might be worthwhile searching for the place names mentioned, and their pronunciation, e.g. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=triabunna+pronounce. You mis-pronounced a number of place names (Triabunna, Oatlands and Campania), but to be fair, you're probably not from Tasmania so this is totally understandable. Catherine Mary Wilson and George Glover had nine children, not eight. Their first child died at just three months old so that's why the newspapers reported that they only had eight children. There's a good article by Stefan Petrow, a professor at the University of Tasmania, that looks at this case: Petrow, Stefan: Triabunna Tragedy: Child Murder and Suicide in 1898; Tasmanian Historical Research Association, 52/4, pp. 233-241 I'm pretty sure the meaning of "to take liberties with her" means he made unwanted sexual advances. Finally, I don't think there's any doubt that Catherine killed the children, and then took her own life. The question is, were there extenuating factors that pushed her to undertake such actions.
