Our brains are designed to tell stories. As we look at the people around us, we make stories that we tell ourselves to make sense of other's decisions to figure them out. Whether we decide that someone is hard working or lazy, fast or slow, smart or dumb, we place people into categories to make sense of them and look for justification of these traits to confirm our views. We need to be able to break from these stories and allow people to grow.
